About event
Like the Baroque style, which was then dominated by Europe, Maria Theresa's government was a time of contrasts. War rampage alternated with life in peace, the world of ancient ideas etcted the thoughts of the Environment. And in the streets of Prague, rich wholesalers and leading aristocrats with urban poor met in the processes. What was life in the Terezian Prague? And what was the relationship of the Habsburg ruler to the capital of the Czech Kingdom? How did it look and how did his face change during the reign of this famous queen? We will also touch these topics in the first of our two lectures dedicated to Prague in the Terezian and Josephine era.
