The lecture on the topic of uneven reading start will be given by special pedagogue Mgr. Jaroslava Budíková and co-author of the Reading Molecules program Kateřina Špronglová. Together we will go through the possibilities of supporting the teaching of reading with a group of children at very different levels of school maturity.
Together we will go through the books and materials from the forthcoming edition, workingly entitled Nulťák, their methodological anchoring, specific types of activities developing reading literacy and their use in differentiating teaching.
The edition (working title) Nulťák is created as part of the Reading Molecules program as a response to the changing needs of pupils entering the 1st year of primary school. It focuses in particular on supporting children with reduced school maturity and offers inspiration on how to contribute to ensuring that every child can experience success in learning to read.
The lecture takes place on Thursday, May 21, 2026 from 4:30 p.m. in the hall of the J. A. Komenský Pedagogical Library. Those interested in participating are asked to register at https://forms.office.com/e/Tk8F6aRMPK?origin=lprLink
The event will take place as part of the Pedagogical Crossroads educational cycle, in which we offer a space for the pedagogical public to meet with experts who publish on current topics focused on upbringing, education, literacy development with an emphasis on reading, psychological support, well-being in schools and other current topics.
