About event
Prazdniny
Warm summer nights, loneliness of empty rooms, but also the joy of discovering the unknown. Prazdniny are friends from Brno, who began to transform quarantine sadness into songs about separation and adolescence. It all packs into the sound of an oscillating between the aesthetics of an alternative pop from the room and the rediscovered love for dreamy guitars set in a modern context. They entered the Czech scene with a 3AM videos, with which they managed to win the hit parade of undiscovered starter at Radio Wave. Under the auspices of the Radio, the single Matthew, followed in the autumn of 2023 EPs of the I´ve Been Getting Tired. On it, Prazdniny presents themselves in a band sound with a live drummer, which in conjunction with analog synths creates a unique concert show.

The creation of the songwriter Marjari describes layers of guitar sequences recorded on the looper accompanied by samples. Everything is complemented by a fragile, clean voice. In 2022, Marjari released her debut LP album Hey Girl, preceded by EP Let's Ride (2021). He then played dozens of concerts with the band, and the growing success with the audience confirmed the victory of the starter Radio Wave. On the album Hey Girl, as well as in previous songs, is based on her personal experiences, feelings and moods, both friendly and partner relationships. Despite the unified author's manuscript and a captivating voice, a diverse variety of moods and atmospheres, from subtlety and romanticity, through melancholy to a harder approach. Thanks to the win, Marjari has reached the stage of many Czech and Slovak clubs and festivals (such as Moody Moon Noize, Festival Krumlov, Festival for the Jewish Quarter of Boskovice, Beseda near Bigbít, etc.). In 2023 she released the single only and Dream, currently working on a new album.
