Invitation to the Prague Camino 2026
We invite you to a joint pilgrimage along part of the Way of St. James - the Prague Camino, which we will walk on Sunday, August 30, 2026. On the same day, pilgrims and breast cancer patients from all over Europe will set out on their 125 km journey to Santiago de Compostela. We will symbolically join them in Prague.

Our friendly organization Fundación Carrera por la Vida – Walk for Life from Tenerife has been organizing a pilgrimage for its members to Santiago de Compostela along the so-called French route for several years. This year, for the first time, she invited patients from other countries to participate. 3 participants from the Czech Republic applied. However, the interest was much greater - many women, however, are prevented from participating by their physical condition, finances, time demands or language barrier.
That is why we agreed with a patient organization from Luxembourg that on the same day when pilgrims set off on their "official" Camino, we will organize a symbolic "small" Camino in Luxembourg and Prague, in which anyone can participate. The route we will follow in Prague symbolically follows the Žitavska Cesta and represents its Prague end.
We are also planning a video connection with the pilgrims directly on the route in Spain, so that we can share this exceptional moment across Europe.
The Camino de Santiago is a traditional pilgrimage route that for centuries has led from Central Europe to northwestern Spain, where the apostle James is buried. People go on it for various reasons - spiritual, touristic, or simply to clear their heads and gain new energy.
Join us and experience the unique atmosphere of the pilgrimage right in Prague - and become part of the European story of support and belonging.
