About event
How fast and why is the center of Prague warming? What adaptation projects is the city implementing? Why do we want as many trees as possible in the streets and why is planting them so complicated? And how does Prague support residents in implementing their own adaptation measures? Experts will try to answer these and other questions from the audience at the last meeting of the Prague Climate Dialogue, which will focus on the problem of heat waves, overheating and the urban heat island effect. The discussion will touch on specific measures in public space - from planting greenery and rainwater management to the transformation of streets, squares and courtyards.
The following invited to the discussion:
Jana Komrsková / Deputy Mayor city of Prague for the environment and climate
Pavel Zahradníček / meteorologist and climatologist, Czech Hydrometeorological Institute
David Hora / arborist and leading author of Prague standards for street tree rows
Jan Richter / climate change adaptation specialist, City Hall city of Prague
Barbora Týcová / project manager, association Vnitrobloky Bieno
Moderator:
Štěpán Sedláček / journalist, Respekt
