About event
Štěpán Rak 80 - Concert for life jubilee
As a guest Jan Matěj Rak
Date 26 April 2025 - Saturday monastery. Tour uncomted. He will perform at the concert in all these art areas. The so -called "Rakovo tremolo" has become a concept in the guitar world. It uses the technique of the game with all five fingers of the right hand on one or more strings simultaneously. Štěpán Rak founded a guitar in 1982 at Prague's HAMU, where he currently focuses primarily on teaching improvisation. And this is what you can appreciate throughout the concert. Professor Štěpán Rak's lifelong endeavor is not only a solo instrument, but also as an orchestra.
He managed a difficult task - to process the music of Jaroslav Ježek for a solo guitar, including such nuts as Bugatti Step or three officers. Its preparation of music, but also Antonín Dvořák and Bedřich Smetana, are also discovered. These songs will play on a unique historical guitar from 1830. Many songs get the final form directly on the stage, so the listeners always have something to look forward to. And it will be the same at this concert.
