About event
A walk with an entomologist - Hummingbirds in the City Park
Alpine shrews caught the attention of many in the videos. Now you have the opportunity to see them live - and with them a lot of other insects. We invite you to the third public event from the Life in the Park series, dedicated to the City Park in Banská Bystrica.
During a walk with entomologist Tomáš Kizek and his colleagues, we will learn what insects live in our park. We will also learn interesting facts about his life, his importance in nature and the work of entomologists.
📍 Meeting place: at the gazebo in the center of the City Park in Banská Bystrica
🗓 Date: Wednesday, June 24, 2026
🕓 Time: 16:30 – 18:00
🔍 We recommend bringing a magnifying glass, a net, an observation cup (if you have it at home).
We look forward to meeting you!
The event is organized by the civic initiative Život v park in cooperation with CEVEV Malá Líška and with the support of the Orange Foundation.
