About event
At the end of the next series of walks, we invite you to the Pistori Palace for the preview of the book The Book of Bratislava: A City in Short Fiction, which will soon be published by the English publishing house Comma Press. The dinner will be attended by its compilers Julia Sherwood and Radoslav Passia, authors Richard Pupala and Barbora Hrínová accompanied by actors Juraj Hrčka and Eva Gribová.
📖 📖 📖
The anthology is part of the Reading the City edition, which offers literary "maps" of cities through short stories. In their short stories, ten authors thematize one city and reveal its historical layers, subcultures and secrets.
The compilers - Julia Sherwood and Radoslav Passia - will present the process of selecting authors, the thematic focus of the anthology and, together with the authors, they will discuss the questions of how literature can "read the city" and what it means for Bratislava.
Samples from the short stories of Barbora Hrínová and Richard Pupala will be performed by Eva Gribová and Juraj Hrčka.
