📚This year too, the Lamač Local Library in cooperation with the Obláčik Family Center is participating in the Read Summer project. We have prepared two meetings for children - in July and August.
📚We will meet for the first time on Tuesday, July 14 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. holiday depression. It is no coincidence that empty heads return to school in September. The loss of language skills that occurs during the summer is indeed great. This is a phenomenon called the summer slide, which has already been well researched around the world. It is not about any superpowers at all, but the basic ability to concentrate on the text and understand it better. However, these skills require training.
You can beat the holiday slump quite easily, it would not even seem like it - 4 to 6 books read during the whole summer are enough. Is that enough? I believe so. Just imagine that one Pippi has almost 30 thousand words in it. Anna from the Green House almost 50 thousand. Words and sentence structures that we don't normally say.
