The Factory Effect or how do factories and work influence our lives? This question also appears in the lecture of artist Kateřina Šedá, where she presents her work on the topic of work. It will focus especially on the project with the light, which is represented in the exhibition by the selection of scarves from Nošovice with embroidery from different periods. But it will also focus on its work influenced by the topic of work - for example, Elitka 100 projects and I don't care. The lecture will be followed by Q&A with the artist and curator of the exhibition Anežka Jabůrková. Gallery.
Kateřina Šedá (1977) is a Czech artist whose work is close to social architecture. In 1999–2005 she graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague with Professor Vladimír Kokolia. In his work he focuses on socially conceived events, in which he often employs hundreds of people who have nothing to do with art. Experiments with interpersonal relationships aim to bring out of the established stereotypes or social isolation. Using their own (provoked) activities and thanks to the new use of everyday life, it attempts to awaken a permanent change in their behavior. She has won a number of awards for her work such as architect of the year (Czech Republic), Magnesia Litera for journalism (Czech Republic), Taku Production Prize (Finland), the most beautiful Czech books (Czech Republic), Contemporary Art Society Award (Great Britain), Jindřich Chalupecký Award (Czech Republic), Fluxus Award.
