About event
We invite you to a lecture by Dr. Charles Walton (University of Warwick) entitled Social Rights in the Longue durée: Between Redistribution and Abundance. This lecture will consider how social rights have come into conflict between two broader discourses since the late Middle Ages: redistributive justice and theories of abundance. The lecture concludes with a reflection on artificial intelligence and how it is reshaping this historical tension between redistribution and the promise of plenty.
