About event
Japanese fashion production 20 and 21st century is a completely unusual approach to clothing, which reflects some traditions, but above all brand new concepts on the border of art, performance and clothing are created. Lecture doc. Denisy Hejlová from the Faculty of Social Sciences of Charles University will briefly introduce the Japanese fashion market and popular fashion brands, bring the life and creation of the most important fashion creators such as Issey Miyake, Yohji Yamamoto and Rei Kawakubo, and introduce examples when Japanese designers influenced the work of Western fashion designers and other prominent artists.
