Novohrad museum and gallery, a cultural institution of the Banská Bystrica self-governing region, invites you to the lecture "On folk horror and superstitious creatures", which will take place on December 4, 2024 at 4:30 p.m.
The days are getting shorter and the nights are getting longer. It was during this period that people told each other fairy tales in the past. Since ancient times, the end of autumn and the beginning of winter have been considered a time when evil prevails over good. As part of the lecture, we will talk about superstitious creatures from traditional Slovak fairy tales, about their story axis and the plot itself... and we will also hear recordings of the original Dobšinské fairy tales. themed side events that take place almost every Wednesday starting at 4:30 p.m.
