About event
We invite you to a lecture from the Break Year Cycle! Three weeks before the end of the war, Terezín became the target station for evacuation transports and death marches from liquidated concentration and labor camps in the empire.
The meeting of Terezín prisoners with the newcomers meant not only the cruel acquaintance with the reality of the final solution of the Jewish question, but also to delay the long -awaited freedom.
Thousands of exhausted and sick prisoners drove into Terezin the spotted typhoid, which quickly spread among the original prisoners. The typhoid epidemic led to the suspension of the repatriations of former prisoners, and Terezín became a place where heavy fighting with this deadly infection took place. Presented by Mgr. Radana Rutová.
We are looking forward to seeing you in the lecture hall of the National Archive!
