Přednáška s PhDr. Romanem Kodetem, Ph.D - Bitva u Sekigahary a vznik tokugawského shōgunátu

We would like to invite you to another lecture from a series of talk about the samurai culture called "Stories of Samurai Chronicles - Battle of Secigahara and the creation of Tokugaws Shōgunát". Roman Kodet, Ph. D is a university lecturer at the Department of Historical Sciences of the Faculty of Arts of the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen and for a long time dealing with the history of Japan. In decades after this biggest battle of the samurai era, Shōgun Tokugawa Ieyas laid together with his two followers of the solid foundations of the new regime, which ensured an unprecedented period of peace and stability. The new government militarily crushed any possible opposition and fundamentally redistributed fiefs to ensure the domination of the Tokugawa clan. In the following years, a completely new political system was created to maintain this dominance and ensure the "harmonious" development of the country according to the Confucian principles. In an effort to eliminate any danger, the Japanese Christians were suppressed at the same time and Japan subsequently limited their relationship with the West, which bloomed during the 16th century. The Earth's isolation period has become characteristic of almost the whole era, when the Shōguns of Tokugawa ruled Japan.
