Meeting with Mg.A. Jan Spěváček, author of the fresco painting of the Eastern Ambit of the famous building of J.B. Santini in Mariánské Týnice
The pilgrimage site and the Church of the Annunciation is one of the most important buildings of Jan Blažej Santini Aichel in the Pilsen region. This national cultural monument has again become known in the last three decades by its reconstruction, renewing the collapsed central dome of the church and a unique completion of the missing Eastern ambition, the scope of which is a unique European. Brno painter Jan Spěváček, (graduate of the studio of the figural painting prof.ak.mal. Jiří Načeradský at the FAVU in Brno) was entrusted to create the designs and implementation of fresco painting the completed eastern ambition.
Thus, in the original old technology of direct paintings for fresh plaster.
The task was to build on the original preserved painting of František Julia Luxe in the west ambitus.
The topic of four ceiling compositions are the joy of the Virgin Mary and seven compositions from the life of important Cistercian saints. The author of the themed concept of individual frescoes is Prof. Jan ROYT. />
Project J.B. Santinho was finished in May 1710 and in July 1711 the foundation stone of the new church of the Annunciation was consecrated. Only in 1764 the work on the construction of the eastern wing of the cloister of the pilgrimage site for a worshiped sculpture of the Annunciation of the Virgin Mary, which was transferred to the new temple until 17 July 1777.
For half a century, the area in Mariánské Týnice was hardly maintained. For some time, he also culminated in the assets of the Metternich,
the emergency state culminated in the collapse of the dome and vault passports on the northwest side of the church on 17 January 1920. . However, it only provided basic maintenance.
The purposeful extensive reconstruction of the magnificent complex was launched with the onset of PhDr. Irena Bukačová to the management of the museum
In 1993–2005, the roofs and facades of the provostism were repaired and the onion roofs on the towers were restored, but above all the main dome of the temple with Lucerna was re -roofed.
After the completion of the facades of the church continued in 2011–2012 the reconstruction of the status of the Chapel of the Sacrifice of the Lord and St. Alberich, which was to be part of the unrealized eastern wing of the ambitus.
In the third stage of the reconstruction, in 2018–2020 using European funds was completed by the Eastern Ambit with the remaining three corner chapels to match the original Santini project.
All eight cloak chapels were to be decorated with a fresco painting with Marian themes on vaults and themes of the life of the Cistercian saints on the walls.
