About event
"We are living in a hectic time, organizations are emerging and disappearing that have no parallel," reads a lesbian zine from Banská Bystrica, published in 1996. Although the text speaks of turbulent times, it basically speaks of them as happy times.
We invite you to a lecture about the times not so long ago, when queer people were looking for ways to their own space, language and political goals in a state and regime that suddenly allowed it. Well, it will also be about the fact that it still wasn't easy.
Politologist Veronika Valkovičová will tell us about her research into activism and the association of queer people in Slovakia after 1989.
There is no need to register, just come to the entrance of Ubytovne Zváračák, Pionierska 17 and we will pick you up at 6:00 p.m. (on the map here: https://lnk.sk/hnue).
If you are late, call or send a message to the number 0902 463 263. We look forward to seeing you.
The event is part of the Queer Vibes project, which is funded by the European Union.
Financed by the European Union from the Program "Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values Programme".
