Since the abolition of the working Saturday, our productivity at work has increased many times, and yet we still work over 40 hours a week. Why is that so? Today, work is a means for the constant accumulation of profit and expansion of markets, the interest of man and nature is at best secondary. A non-growth approach shows that the opposite can also be true, and that work can be free, joyful and sustainable. What effects does the organization of work with capital have and what does a non-growth orientation change for the interest of man and nature? What are the specific transformative proposals and strategies for their implementation? And how can dreaming about a world without work inspire us, but also betray us?
