About event
🍿 We invite you to the exclusive premiere of the Czech-Slovak film WARRIOR on August 13 in Amfik with the participation of the creators and actors. The film will be presented by actors Milan Ondrík, Ján Jackuliak, Marián Mitaš and Vojtech Frič - producer, co-director and co-screenwriter.
🥊 THE WARRIOR
(dir. T. Dianiška, V. Frič, 2026, Czechia/Slovakia, 123 min.)
Sometimes the greatest courage requires trying again
Award-winning actor Milan Ondrík introduces himself in life form as the former champion Hoff, who seeks to return to the world of combat sports. But behind his comeback is not only the desire to wrestle again. In fact, he is trying to fight for something much more valuable - a relationship with his family, his own dignity and the opportunity to correct the mistakes that deprived him of everything that once mattered to him.
A captivating story from the environment of one of the most attractive sports of today, in which real MMA stars appear alongside leading Czech and Slovak actors. Pavel Hoffmeister alias Hoff was European champion and Olympic medalist in boxing. After years away from the sports world, he receives an unexpected offer to return to the fight. However, the thrown glove he picks up is not a boxing glove. He will meet his opponent in MMA. New rules await him, hard preparation and an opponent who will test not only his form, but also his character. However, he won't win the toughest match in the cage. He will have to face himself above all and fight for the lost trust of his loved ones.
The film A fighter from an environment where every mistake hurts will draw viewers into the real world of MMA, one of the most striking phenomena of today - from hard preparation to pulsating tension before the match and adrenaline in the cage to the authentic atmosphere of sold-out arenas.
But above all, it is a story full of emotions that cannot be locked into wardrobe, losses that hurt more than can be said out loud, and the determination that forces one not to give up.
The screening will take place at Amfik on Festival Square and will start after dark. You can buy tickets online, at the ticket office of Kina Úsmev or directly on the spot before the event. The final price of the ticket also includes a €0.5 handling fee added to each ticket at the payment gateway. In case of cancellation, this fee is non-refundable.
