About event
Endings come in countless forms. They can be quiet or explosive, elegant or chaotic, liberating or overwhelming. Some haunt you. Others will bring relief that you didn't know you needed.
Spend an unconventional artistic evening with us in the sacral premises of the Great Evangelical Church. The authors of the book Catalog of Endings Martin Jenča and Katarína Poliačiková have prepared a program that cannot be pigeonholed - something between a lecture, a sermon, an interview and a concert. All at once, all about ends.
Martin Jenča, Katarína Poliačiková, Nora Barczi, Richard Hronský and others will perform. Special musical guests are Denis Bango (FVCK_KVLT) and Danish contemporary composer Emil Mark.
You know Denis Bang from clubs and festivals - this time you will hear him in church, with only a guitar, in an intimate set. Emil Mark, a Danish contemporary composer, will sit down at the church organ and, in addition to his own compositions, will also play a brand new composition that he wrote especially for this evening - inspired by the theme of endings.
Together we will imagine how to end things in today's world - and how to simply sit in the ending instead of running away from it to a new beginning.
About the book:
Catalogue of Endings is a collection of imaginative endings. Art, film, pop culture, personal memories and philosophy meet in short texts accompanied by images and essays. The book invites you to imagine what the end really looks like. Not a new beginning in disguise, but the end itself. For everyone who never knew how to leave, let go or simply say: this is the end. 30, Bratislava
