Představení knihy Ahoj občani!

The work of Karel Kryl responded intensively to the development of the social situation and was publicly engaged. More than two decades, moreover, it was closely related to the singer's work in the editorial office of Radio Free Europe. The artist criticized the occupation in August 1968 and the pragmatism of the normalization society, later from similar positions also opposed the course of the Czechoslovak transformation after 1989. He consistently called for the creation of a responsible civil society. Book Hi Citizens! It is an accompanying publication of the exhibition of the same name, which is organized by the National Archive and the Museum of Prague in the House of the Golden Ring. It is the largest Krylov exhibition so far, which publishes a number of documents from Karel Kryl's personal archive, which have not yet been accessible to visitors and readers.

The publication will be evaluated by Prokop Tomek (Military History Institute).

Examples from the book, including rare recordings from RFE broadcasts, will be presented by Jakub Šlouf and Jiří Křesťan (both from the National Archive).

The program of the evening will be accompanied by a flute and chamber ensemble ZUŠ Hostivice.
