The fascinating festival of live paintings "Tableaux Vivants" comes to Gemer! It will be held within the framework of the artistic and Vírín awareness of Slovak-Hungarian festival 1.5.2025 at the castle in Štítnik.
Already in ancient times at various festivals presented mythical stories using static positions in the form of imitating statues or images. In the Middle Ages, the liturgical depictions were shown through live images, and in the Renaissance posed in live images of allegorical scenes mainly the nobility. In the Baroque and Rokok he enjoyed the lively painting of the monarch's court, which gave them admiration for his sophistication. Since the 19th century they have become not only a popular entertainment at various events, but also an unusual form of giving up to the classic painting, and in a way to bring the audience closer to the classic painting.
This remarkable way of presenting art is coming right now and you can experience it for yourself. In addition to living paintings, there will be a rich music program at the castle in Štítnik, an opening to the joint exhibition "courage", creative-art workshops, artjam, symbolic construction of May, lectures and discussions about wine and art. Of course, there will be thematic stalls with the sale of wine and art.
