Anthropologist Zdenka moves with her family to a small
Arctic town in Norway - Longyearbyen. Here, based on interviews with some of its inhabitants, he uncovers a mosaic of different stories and finds out what life is really like in this mysterious but also poetic place. At the same time, however, the film also sensitively follows her personal story. This town has a small population and many of them are immigrants. However, they encounter a number of problems in the city, which at first glance is attractive due to its location in seemingly virgin nature, but which is affected by climate change. However, the film partly touches on the broader ecological theme of human intervention in nature. A documentary about the search for symbiosis and peace, but also about moving, freedom of choice and acceptance.
