Dear Dad (2021, dir. Diana Cam Van Nguyen, 13 min)
A filmic letter composed of images from the past, through which a daughter tries to restore her relationship with her father. The closest person who broke family ties due to fear of the future and cultural traditions. The animated collages represent the director's personal confession, the thread of her memories of her father, who left to live with another family. At the same time, the film is an expression of hope that it is never too late to restore the relationship with loved ones and try to understand their life decisions. (dafilms.cz)
Apparthegeist (2019, dir. Marie Magdalena Kochová, 11 min)
The concept of apparagegeist expresses how a person's relationship with technology and how they transform our social contacts. Like the authors of this theory, James E. Katz and Mark Aakhus, the director of the film also focused on the current phenomenon of mobile phones. It takes us into the allegorical space of the apparatgeist, a barren, inhospitable place where the displays of ubiquitous smartphones act as windows into the worlds of internet mundanity and the bizarre, and as a springboard for our interaction with digital devices. (MFDF Ji.hlava)
PRATUR Rebirth (2022, dir. Ludmila Cimbůrková, 7 min)
Can wildness be cloned? The documentary about the original and current form of the pratura emphasizes not only ecological but also moral issues. (FamuFest)
Zena je krk (2019, dir. Širín Nafariehová, 20 min)
Together with the director, we go to Iran, where her father is from. We look at the world through the eyes of three characters. They are different generations and have different problems that reflect the current political situation in the country. (FamuFest)
