About event
We invite you to two guided tours of the exhibition Ložisko sonic raw materials directly with the author Ľubomír Slovenský, which will take place as part of this year's Days of Urban Culture. The first tour awaits you on Friday 19 June at 17:00 and the second on Saturday 20 June at 20:00.
The current edition of Days of Urban Culture brings the themes of mining, the underground and the concept of Cultural Mining.
The central point of our program is cooperation with the Academy of Arts in Banská Bystrica and the author Ľubomír Slovenian. His exhibition Ložisko sonic raw materials reflects the mining theme through a multi-channel audiovisual installation, which transforms the geological patterns and relief of the mining landscape into the form of sound structures. The author works with the concept of a lost soundscape and, with the help of sonification of visual sources, revives the lost activity of locations that have remained silent today.
During the Days of Urban Culture, the Bethlen House building will be open to the public until 10:00 p.m. The other buildings, the Pretórium and Villa Dominik Skutecký, will be open during normal opening hours until 6:00 p.m.
The Central Slovak Gallery is founded by the Banskobystrica Autonomous Region.
