About event
The community of translators announces a literary translation course for beginning translators from English. The course is intended for 4 to 6 participants and consists of 6 three-hour blocks once every two weeks. Each block will work with an assigned literary text, which the participant will translate in advance.
The course assumes a good knowledge of the source language (reading skills at approximately B2 level).
The lecturer will be Lucie Mikolajková. The course will take place offline at the office of the Commune of Translators (in the basement at Pod Nuselským schody 3, Prague 2, tram no. 6 and 11, stop Nuselské schody), or online. Please indicate which variant you would prefer in the application. The first lesson will be held on Friday, November 29 at 3 p.m.
The course fee is CZK 4,900 for OP members and students and CZK 6,500 for other interested parties. Course graduates can receive a certificate of participation.
