About event
IT IS BETTER TO WANT TO BE ALONE THAN TO STAY ALONE.
Jiří Pokorný presents a new dance-movement production "and" for DEKKADANCERS about the closeness and distance between us. It points to our social environment as a crumbling system in which relationships are lost.
LONELY CAN BE A RESTART, A NEW BEGINNING, INDEPENDENCE AND STRENGTH.
LONELY DOESN'T HAVE TO BE BEING LONELY.
However, we become lonely when we do not perceive ourselves as part of the whole, because no man is an island.
The letter “a” represents the link symbol. It represents unity or a place in which we can discover completely new horizons in establishing interpersonal relationships. It unites the contradictions of our lives and brings us to a higher state of mutual understanding, because the meaning of "and" is common to all without distinction.
