After Russia launches a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, elementary schools across the country are turned into places of military propaganda and recruitment. One brave teacher, confronted with the moral dilemma of working in a system built on lies and violence, decides to film what is really happening in his school.
Until recently, Pavel Talankin was a teacher-organizer at Elementary School no. 1 in the city of Karabash in Russia. As part of his work, he acted as a school cameraman and guided children in filming and video editing. Mr. Nikto against P_tin is his first film. He currently lives in Europe.
The screening and discussion are also the introductory event to the new year of the alternative distribution project KineDok, which brings quality original films to non-traditional spaces.
