Screening during Restorative Justice Week 2025 + discussion #RJWeek25
A story that changes the perspective of justice (not only) in the queer community, that is the film Friendship After Death. Civic association ReStart invites you to the screening of a short documentary produced by the Czech Institute for Restorative Justice about the extraordinary dialogue between a person who committed a hate crime and the family of his victim. This powerful story shows that even after the greatest tragedy, there can be room for humanity, understanding and healing.
The screening will be followed by a discussion with Tomáš Horeháj, chairman of the ReStart association, which deals with the topic of restorative justice and its development in Slovakia. "Thanks to such stories, we believe that we can give the current criminal justice system a more human face and bring systemic changes that will respect the needs of victims, promote responsibility and restore relationships," explains Tomáš Horeháj. Psychologist Viktor Križo, who deals with this topic in the field of education, will also join the discussion.
