🎬 Premietanie filmu „Dovbuš“ v Žiline

As of the date of the independence of Ukraine, 24 August 2025, within the International Marathon "Culture VS War" in the Cultural Center Stanica Žilina - Záriečie will be a screening of the historical adventure film "Dovbuš" (director - Oleś Sanin). The brothers Oleksa (Serhij Streľnykov) and Ivan (Oleksi Hnatkovskyj) Dovbusovci were among those who did not want to reconcile with oppression. But different ideas about what a revenge should be, they made them enemies. In the midst of the cruelty of the world, hypocrisy and greed of the nobility and painful losses of loved ones, Oleks is trying to find happiness and win a better fate for their compatriots. He involved experts from Poland and Canada in the project. Preparations included long -term work with archival materials from a given epoch. The shooting began in August 2018, but it had to be interrupted several times for technical problems and pandemic. The exterior scenes were filmed in the Carpathians, Ternopil and Kiev.
