About event
🎬ROK 01 / L'AN 01 (1973) - The Year We Stop Everything
What would happen if humanity simply decided to stop? Stop working, producing and rushing for economic growth - and instead try to start from scratch and reassess what is really important to us. The legendary anarcho-utopian satire L'an 01 shows, through short episodes, alternative ways of life: less work, more leisure, community relations and a return to simplicity. It is an open reflection on what a world in which we allow ourselves to NOT GROW could look like.
The climate needs you and Kino Úsmev invite you to a pre-Christmas screening of the film, which will be followed by an informal discussion about work, its meaning and effects on people and the planet. The event also serves as an introductory presentation of the upcoming climate club, which will focus on the topics of the mineral economy and possible ways to a more socially and environmentally fair organization of society. The emerging Slovak degrowth movement Nerast will also be presented.
Admission: €6
