The project brings art where we normally do not wait for it - not for exhibition pedestals, but to the everyday life: waiting rooms, offices, hospitals or postal halls. We will introduce a series of accompanying events of community, educational and presentation character in addition to the main interventions, which people visit rather than from the main intervention. In a storm without hiding is the first one. Romanian artistic duo Ancou Bener & Arnold Estefan in one of the last forests in Europe, on the border with Ukraine. The main theme of the work is the relationship of militarism to the natural environment of the border areas and its ecological destruction. Simple means - combining the image of the Carpathian mountain forest with the anti -war song Where Haves All the Flowers Gone? - They bring a contextualized view of the global question: How to promote anti -war and pacifist ideals? Placing a film with a concise name in a storm without hiding stimulates us to review the mechanisms on how to face current global challenges. Usually, artificially decorated waiting rooms could be transformed into a pleasant yet rich location. Their creation includes installations, videos and performance. Their works were presented at exhibitions and biennial including: Potential Worlds, Migros Museum, Zurich (2021); Natural Histories. Traces of the Political, Mumok, Vienna (2017); Sounds and Sites, The Jewish Museum, New York (2016); Global Control and Censorship, ZKM, Karlsruhe (2016); Der Brancusi Effekt, Kunsthalle, Vienna (2015); Mum, AM I Barbarian? Intense Proximity, La Triennale, Palais de Tokyo, Paris (2012). In the past, she has worked with the NGBK Berlin Gallery and since 2024 she has been the director of the Baltic Gallery of Contemporary Art in Słupia. which are not only participatory, but also emancipatory and inclusive. Her curatorial and co -championship projects include: We, The People (Central Slovak Gallery, 2019), Dreams & Dramas. Law AS Literature together with the publication (NGBK, 2017), End of Time (Kunsthaus Dresden, 2015) and Behind the Togetherness (Transit.sk, Bratislava, 2014). In his work, he examines memory, forgetting and power mechanisms associated with space and knowledge. It works with archives, maps, installation and text, often interferes with public space and creates fictitious scenarios that bite established reading of places and history. In his works, he encourages the audience to re -evaluate what we consider to be known and steady. In 2019 he completed a residence in Dolfina Foundation in London, in 2022 in SA AR SA SA SA SA PENH (Cambodia) and the Headlands Center for the Arts in San Francisco. In 2023 he introduced the in someone Else's Game (Ivan Gallery, Bucharest) and Travel Tales in the Land (Haifa Museum of Art, Israel). In 2024, the work created a silence not to protect us, which was created in the Synagogue - Center of Contemporary Art GJK in Trnava and was also presented at the Pohoda Festival, in the Synagogue in Stupava and the City Library in Bratislava. 17:00
