The presentation of the fourth issue of Elders literary is scheduled for Saturday, December 14.

The presentation of the fourth issue of Elsewhere literary on the programme, again in the atmospheric The Hague Theater in the Steeg on the Westeinde. A promising evening around a special theme issue, which is entirely dedicated to the diplomat-writer - or perhaps better: the writing or literary diplomat, because for most of them diplomacy seems subordinate to the literary oeuvre.

Opening by the presenter of the evening, writer Arjen van Meijgaard

First part of the performance by the Belgian poet/writer/musician and performer Jonas Bruyneel, who uses fragments from his latest poetry collection Mulhacén< /em> (2024) explores the world of the Spanish poet García Lorca with a small group of musicians.

Performance by the Belgian writer and poet Nele Bruynooghe

Writer and biographer Graa Boomsma talks about life and the literary and diplomatic career of master writer A. Alberts, about whom he wrote the biography Life on the edge in 2017 published.

Video presentation of a selection from the African photo work of journalist and world traveler Pieter van den Broeke, at a Text by the Polish writer Ryszard Kapuściński read by Thijs Veraart.

Interview by Arjen van Meijgaard with the Dutch writer and ex-diplomat Richard Osinga about his acclaimed literary oeuvre of now seven novels, including the compelling Munt (2023) set in Congo.

Second part of Mulhacén< /em> by Jonas Bruyneel and his musical company.

Closing by Arjen van Meijgaard.
