About event

We cordially invite you again to the travel presentations Cesta necesto in Prešov, where you will see 3 presentations from 3 different worlds. Mili will take you to tropical Samoa, with Miša you will discover beautiful and steep hikes and hot springs in Taiwan and volcanoes in Indonesia, and with Janka you will climb the 6812-meter Ama Dablam in Nepal and the 7134-meter Lenin Peak in Kyrgyzstan.

18 :00 Milada Konečná - Samoa - an unknown pearl of the Pacific
Teleport with me to a paradise on earth called Samoa, thousands of kilometers away. We will cross the two main islands together, sleep in small wooden cabins directly on the most beautiful beaches in the world, where we will taste coconuts directly from the surrounding palm trees, visit lava-covered villages, but also get to know the dances and traditions of the kind-hearted local people.

19: 10 Michal Knitl - Magical Taiwan and volcanoes in Indonesia
Listen to the story of the experiences of five weeks in Taiwan - an island of nice people, challenging hikes and beautiful hot springs, which I walked around counter-clockwise, looking for mountains and natural beauty. Did you know that Taiwan's highest mountain is 3952 meters high, and that the hikes on the island are some of the toughest in the world? Often From Taiwan we move to Indonesia, where I climbed volcanoes in Java (Arjuno, Bromo, Batok, Raung, Ijen), Bali (Agung), Lombok (Rinjani) and Sumbawa (Tambora) during the month.

20:10 break

20:30 Jana Vaňková – Expedition Ama Dablam (6812 m) in Nepal vs. Lenin Peak (7134 m) in Kyrgyzstan
Two completely different mountains in two different countries, but they have one thing in common. Extremely high altitude. How do such expeditions take place? Which mountain was physically / mentally more demanding? How to deal with lack of oxygen? I climbed Ama Dablam in the spring of 2023 and returned from Lenin Peak a few weeks ago. Two successful ascents to the mountains, the peaks of which one must definitely deserve.
