We cordially invite you again to the Cestou necesto travel festival at the Prešov Wave Club. You can look forward to experiences from Tibet and Nepal presented by Katka Straková. In the second presentation, we will stay in Asia, but we will move to the Southeast. With Nika Kökényová and Katarína "Nana" Naništová, we will take you to Laos.
18:00 Katarína Straková – Tibet and Nepal – wandering in the shadow of the mountains
Tibet is a land of the great unknown. It often appears in films and documentaries, but few people were in it. What is Tibet really like? I will explain how I understood the country and what I experienced in the presentation. On a beautiful road with a view of 6 of the 8,000 peaks, I continue to Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal. A 3-week trek around Anapurna awaits me here. And because it is still out of season, there is not even a foot on the trek, but all the more snow.

Laos is for those who travel for nature. We will take you to the Mekong River, to the limestone hills and to the dark caves. We will show you a piece of culture and tell you how the local people live and what they have had to overcome in recent years. Among others, a conflict that did not affect Laos, but nevertheless made the country the most bombed country in the history of mankind.
We will end our journey through Laos on the islands in the middle of the 12th longest river in the world, which ends here with its almost 2,000 km long pilgrimage across Laos. Join the journey to Laos from the north to the very south.
