We cordially invite you to the Cestou necesto travel festival in Prešov at the Wave premises. This evening we will visit two continents - Asia and Latin America - in two traveling lectures. In the first, Nika and Nana will take you to Vietnam, and in the second to Panama.
18:00 Katarína “Nana” Naništová and Nikola Kökényová: Vietnam with mom and a month after
What does a traveler buy for his mom on her 50th birthday? A plane ticket, after all. Two-way for mom and one-way for myself... but mom doesn't know about it yet. Our journey began in the former Saigon in the south of Vietnam and the task was to show my mother why we both fell in love with travel. We have two weeks and the goal is to reach the capital in the north of the country. We pass through the historic cities of Hue, Da Nang, Hoi An, the iconic Halong Bay, and along the way we learn about the Vietnam War, the influence of China, Japan and France, rice cultivation and the production of lanterns.
Mom gets on the plane and we continue at a slower pace to discover places that are not even in tourist guides - by foot, by night train to the border with China. Now we get to know the local Hmong and Tai tribes, the taste of steamed bamboo and the sight of grilled dogs. Although Vietnam is becoming more popular every year, you can still find places that are raw. And we'll take you there!

19:30 Katarína “Nana” Naništová and Nikola Kökényová: Across Panama in a month
The trip to Panama was supposed to be a preparation for a continent with a feared reputation – South America. Our lesson started in Panama City, a capital city full of contrasts, where the Panama Canal was initially just a mandatory stop, but after learning about its history, it taught us a lot about the country itself.
We continued to a village located in the craters of a volcano, where, in addition to the empty hiking trails, we also talked to local police officers about security. The magical island of Coiba awaited us, which is an untouched paradise thanks to the high level of nature protection. His dark history also took care of that. To tell the truth, we were accompanied the whole way through Panama by scary stories and stories that we will share with you only at the lecture.
