In their repertoire of classical music, you will primarily find compositions, which were originally composed for this specific instrumental cast (Alexander Glazunov, Jean-Baptiste Singeleé, Eugène Bozza, Jean Françaix, Pierre Max Dubois, Claude Pascal, Carlos Micháns, Ida Gotkowsky, Jindřich Feld), but in their repertoire they also have arrangements of compositions by the greats of the Baroque and Classicism periods (J.S. Bach, W.A. Mozart) and arrangements of works by Slovak and Czech authors (Ilja Zeljenka – Musica Slovaca and Eugen Suchoň – Serenade Op. 5, Ján Cikker – 7 Fugues, Antonín Dvořák – String Quartet, Op. 96). In 2017, they studied two concerts written for tuba and saxophone quartet by the composers Roland Szentpali and Erin Paton for the "Music in the Garden" project, and in In 2019, they premiered W.A. Mozart's Concertante Symphony KV 297b arranged for saxophone quartet with the Žilina State Chamber Orchestra.
In addition to classical music, the quartet specializes in authentic interpretation of the ragtime music genre in arrangements for four saxophones. The arrangements of these compositions come from the years 1910 to 1920, when the saxophone as a musical instrument experienced its greatest development and became a great inspiration for both performers and composers.

They recorded three albums - Good Morning Ragtime (2015), Nuclear Sax (2019) - author's CD of Jevgenij Iršai with his music for saxophone in various casts and Musica Slovaca (2024) with music by Slovak authors originally composed for saxophone quartet or in arrangements with several world premieres (Ilja Zeljenka, Ján Cikker, Tadeáš Salva, Marián Lejava, Viliam Gräffinger, Peter Zagar, Jevgenij Iršai, Milan Paľa). They also perform on the album Básne Múzické (2022) by František Báleš with Slovak poetry set to music, awarded in the ESPRIT poll as the best jazz album of the year.
The group uses a combination of original historical instruments and Beuscher mouthpieces from the beginning of the 1930s (tenor and baritone), which were constructed according to the original patent of the inventor of the saxophone, Adolph Sax, with modern instruments. stamp Yamaha (soprano) and Selmer (alto). With this combination, they achieve a very specific sound.

The Pressburg Saxophone Quartet performs mainly in Slovakia and the surrounding countries, and they also have a successful tour in India (2015) and China (2017).

The event was supported from public funds by the Art Support Fund.
