About event
PKB was formed in Bratislava in 1995 as the first Slovak band to be systematically approached by the energy of Jewish dance music - klezmer from Central and Eastern Europe. In more than thirty years on the scene, they have created their own spontaneous musical cocktail. They combine Jewish, Balkan and Oriental traditions with Slovak and Roma folklore and mix elements of jazz, rock, reggae and Latin with gusto.
They have ten albums and concerts in twenty countries around the world. They are finally coming to Žilina to celebrate their 30 years on the scene! With songs in Yiddish, Slovak, English and Balkan languages, live, dance and emotional. With the belief that the music will touch you completely, move you and draw you in. Let yourself be drawn in!
Playing for you will be:
Marta Potančoková – vocals
Snežana Jović-Werner – accordion, vocals
Miro Lago – clarinet
Andrej Werner – violin
Valér Miko – piano
Samo Alexander – double bass
Jakub Valiček – drums
