The final evening of the series of Czech-German literary dialogues prepared by the Moravian State Library and the Goethe-Institut Czech Republic on the occasion of the Czech Republic's honorary hosting at the Frankfurt Book Fair 2026.
The literary dialogue on the theme of the retold past will bring together two prominent voices of contemporary Czech and German prose, who return to the turning points of the 20th century in their works.
► Eli Beneš in in her debut novel, The Slight Loss of Loneliness, she opens up the taboo topic of the return of concentration camp survivors to Prague in 1945.
► Nora Bossong, a leading German author, in her novel Reichkanzlerplatz explores the mechanisms of human failure and the birth of fanaticism against the backdrop of the collapsing Weimar Republic.
Dialogue about guilt, memory and the search for humanity on the background of great historical upheavals will be moderated by Zuzana Lizcová, a Germanist and columnist.
From 7:30 p.m., a slam poetry battle with Jaromír Konečný, Daniel Wagner, Večerka and Vašek z Aš follows in the courtyard of the Goethe-Institut.
