We invite you to the ceremonial presentation of an exceptional new book, which is also a remarkable contribution to the knowledge of Indian culture in Slovakia.
The first translation of ten Upanishads from Sanskrit into Slovak will be presented by:
- Róbert Gáfrik, author of the translation, introduction and notes, from the Institute of World Literature SAS, v. v. i.
- Her Excellency Apoorva Srivastava, Ambassador of India to Slovakia
- Dušan Deák, scientific reviewer of the publication, from the Department of Comparative Religious Studies at FiF UK
- Boris Farkaš, actor
The organizers of the event are looking forward to seeing you at the VEDY Small Congress Center, SAV publishing house.
The book edition of UPANIŠÁD in Slovak translation is the result of long-term scientific work of Róbert Gáfrik from the Institute of World Literature SAS, v. v. i.
The publication of the book in VEDA, SAV publishing house, was supported by the Embassy of India in Bratislava, Slovakia, and the Editorial Board of the Slovak Academy of Sciences.
