About event
“Every night I dream of this moment: I turn around - and in front of me is a bookcase, next to an old dressing table with a mirror, as if covered with fog from the inside, I don’t try to say goodbye to the house, because I don’t understand that I’m leaving forever.” 1980s: the hero moves to Yekaterinburg from his family nest in a Georgian village and becomes an enterprising adventurer in the new place. Our time: the heroine is forced to leave her home country - a virus is spreading there that disables the part of the brain responsible for empathy. Yegana Jabbarova's new novel is a branching text, where the plot lines seem unconnected at first, but eventually come together. What does it mean to find a home and what does it mean to lose it? What is your family history like? What makes people feel close and related to each other? Asking these questions, the heroes are in constant intense movement - in a desperate attempt to escape from those forces that seek to rob a person of his uniqueness.
