Priazda radosti / Yarn of Joy - Aleksandra Gisges Dalecka

At the exhibition entitled "Yarn of Joy" in the Gallery of the Artist of the Slovak Union of Fine Arts, the artist Aleksandra Gisges-Dalecka will present her textile works from the last 10 years. The works presented are often monochrome, but they are glittered with details and unconventional formula. The artist has been built a huge workshop over the years, but she does not close before new ideas - on the contrary, her works are funny and innovative. Created works are often scenographic and soft statues resemble large, imaginative toys. The creative process is depicted as a game of power - from loosely tangled threads to a carefully assembled whole in which each element finds its place. The starting point for the creative activities of Aleksandra Gisges-Daleck are disordered fiber particles, which are gradually arranged into continuous forms. The weaving studio is not only a tool, but also the basis of artistic expression. Precision, attention to detail and masterful use of the technique give artistine compositions expressiveness and the use of a monochrome range of colors emphasizes the structure and texture of the substances it creates. This exhibition is also an experiment with a form - it exceeds the framework of conventional designs and is looking for new means of expression. The objects that Gisges-Dicka creates on the border between utility art and autonomous works, sometimes enter into dialogue with space and the human body. The scenographical character of some works reminds the theatrical props and creates an atmosphere of entertainment and interaction with the recipient. The richness of details, sensitivity to matter and a gentle sense of humor make the whole not only visually engaging, but also encourage personal interpretations. Gisges -Daleck's fibers are a creative process - from raw material to living form, from free movement of threads to the moment captured in the tissue.
