The new buildings of foreign trade companies (PZO) were established in the former Czechoslovakia from the late 1950s to the mid -1980s. While buildings such as Chemapol, Movings or Motokov are at least well known in the Prague context, many other PZO buildings built in Bratislava, Jablonec and Martin, remains aside. The lecture will present not only these buildings, but above all the context in which they originated and the importance that businesses and their settlements had in the then Czechoslovak economy. .
