About event
We don't choose our relatives
French comedy
Three brothers - the master of the house, businessman Francky, dentist David and lawyer Yvan - and their wives gather for the celebration. Right from the start, it is clear that the sisters-in-law are not burning with burning love for each other, not to mention that they are trying to keep their husbands on a tight leash.
But the real bombshell is the arrival of Francky's young, challenging secretary Natália, who perfectly spices things up family celebration. It causes panic among the men present, and their unnaturally dismissive reaction makes the wives suspicious. Whose lover is she? There will be surprising revelations and the family idyll takes over.
The author does not hide that men are usually cowards in similar situations and women rather heartless and merciless.
Poisonous allusions and apt targeted answers sometimes resemble a tennis ball exchange. Thanks to the cast, brilliant dialogues and situational twists, the comedy offers an unusual theatrical experience.
