One thing is clear: equal marriage remains one of the most important topics for LGBT people, couples and families in the Czech Republic. ❤️
More than a year has passed since the introduction of the partnership. We know it has brought more certainty to many couples and families. We also know that there was significantly more interest in it than previously in registered partnerships. But at the same time, we see again every day that a partnership is not a marriage. There are still differences in the rights, dignity and protection of families with children.
And that is why we will go to the Prague Pride parade this year together as Jsme fér. 💕Not to celebrate half solutions. But to remind you that our work is not over. That equal rights are not an added bonus. That children in same-sex families should not wait for the political courage of adults. And that the Czech Republic has been calling some couples "marriage" and others "something else" for too long.
Bring your partner, partner, mother, father, grandmother, grandfather, siblings, friends, colleagues and children with you. Come with us to show that equal marriage is not a marginal issue. It's a question of dignity, safety and a fair Czech Republic.
📍Practical information:
➡️ We will meet from 11:00 on Wenceslas Square, where a stage with a DJ will be prepared. The parade starts at 12:00.
➡️ Please wear a T-shirt or other top and accessories in the colors We are fair, white or red.
➡️ We will also have several light banners on site. We will be happy if you add your hands to the piece and come with them with us, or bring your own.
