About event
What is it like to go in a parade when an air raid siren sounds over the city?
Photographer Luky K ( https://lukyk.com/ ) goes to take pictures of prides in countries where the rainbow parade is not a city celebration, but a controversial event.
In the last two years, he went through Wroclaw with a camera, Budapest - pride, which the government tried to ban and a record number of people came to it -, Sarajevo, where the parade is protected by a police cordon, and Belgrade, where pride met with Orthodox priests and student protests after the tragedy at the train station in Novi Sad. ended by an airstrike and where the question of rights meets the question of survival. We will show photos, play excerpts from interviews with Ukrainian activists and talk about what these parades have in common - and how they differ from the ones we are used to here.
The report and interviews from Kyiv have just been published in LUI magazine.
So let's have a drink together and learn a little more about what Prides are like in neighboring countries through photos and own experiences.
Galibi, together we will experience more.
