Prismatic (Tomáš Hrubiš & Martin Čech)

Musician and visual artist Tomáš Hrubiš and drummer Martin Čech were connected by collaboration on Hrubiš's record Prismatic (label Polí5, 2022). Here they used a combination of sounds of organ, synthesizers and drums with overlaps for minimalistic and dark ambient music. After the release of the recording, they also start playing together live. Until then, Hrubiš performed mainly solo and in Bohemia with other musical projects (Forest Animals, Hrubá hudba, Ensoi, etc.). From the original concept, when the drummer accompanied the composer as a guest, their mutual cooperation gradually developed. They are currently creating new, already co-authored material. They gave the project the joint name Prismatic, which they took over from the mentioned previous album, and they want to further develop the prismatic ideas they started (the prism changes the point of view, the change of state, perception, etc.)

Their concerts are then a hypnotic ritual taking place in a mutual musical dialogue.
