Procházka Ďáblickým hřbitovem

The Ďáblice Cemetery, located on the border of the Prague districts of Ďáblice and Střížkov, is the second largest cemetery in Prague and at the same time unique in the world - the only Cubist cemetery in the world. It is also an important place of memory of Czech history: in its northern part there is an honorable burial ground referring to the second and third (anti-communist) resistance. By the northern wall, victims of Nazi and communist terror are buried in mass shaft graves. In 2015, the Forest of Memories was opened in the cemetery grounds, the first natural burial ground in the Czech Republic, where the ashes of the deceased are placed next to memorial trees. In 2023, Luční hřbitov was added, the first ecological cemetery in the Czech Republic, where the deceased are buried in ecological coffins on a flower meadow without traditional gravestones.

• Participants will be guided by Kateřina Svobodová.
• Participants meet in front of the main gate (Sídliště stop Ďáblice).
• The event is organized by the contribution organization Hřbitovy a hřebrění služby hl. city ​​of Prague.
• The length of the walk is approximately 90 minutes.
• Children up to and including 12 years of age are admitted free of charge and without registration.
