About event
Come with us for a walk through Prague's flourishing community gardens.
Meet at 5:30 p.m. in the Mečislavka community garden
In Mečislavka, we will spend approximately half an hour, introducing ourselves to the creation of the garden and the functioning of the community composter that the local community operates.
Then we will go through the Nuselské schody community garden to Vyšehrad, where we will visit the Táborka community garden and the Fortress garden. During the walk, you will learn how community gardens work, what are the options for community composting in the city, and also how Vyšehrad processes its bio-waste in a unique way.
There will be space for your questions throughout, from how to start a garden to how to get involved in composting.
At the end, you can look forward to an informal meeting.
Anna Černá from Kokozy will guide you through the walk, who has many years of experience with development of community gardens in the Czech Republic and will be happy to answer all your questions.
Entrance is free
The event was financially supported by hl. city of Prague.
The walk is implemented as part of the project Civic education - the basis of sustainability, which is co-financed by the European Union through OP JAK.
