About event

The Jewish town presents a magical atmosphere where Jews lived for more than 1000 years. The participants of the walk will pass by the current synagogues and learn how Jews came to Prague, why kings and emperors tried to protect them, what happened to the wealth of Mordechai Maisl, who Golem was, where Rabbi Lowe lived, why Jews had to wear yellow signs, why Josef II. enabled Jews to live outside their ghetto and how large the Jewish community was and is.

  • Meeting point: in front of the World of Franz Kafka Museum, Franz Kafka Square 1
  • Duration: approx. 1.5 hours
  • Guide: Soňa Procházková
  • Children under 10 years free
  • Tickets can only be purchased on the spot if the capacity of the walk has not been filled - it is necessary to contact the organizer to find out the current situation.
  • The organizer reserves the right to cancel the walk in case of low interest, the participants with the ticket will be informed about the cancellation of the walk and the money will be returned to their account.
